I am a Social Worker with a Master’s Degree from the University of Denver, Colorado, a State Certified Domestic Violence Counselor with the State of Colorado and a State Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor with the State of Colorado. I have had a private practice since 1986, starting as the owner/director of the Men’s Center, with offices located in Palmer and Anchorage, Alaska.
In addition to private practice, I contracted with the State of Alaska, Department of Corrections, offering several specialty groups in Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and Relationship Conflict. I helped developed Alaska’s first statewide Domestic Violence Monitoring Program for convicted offenders of Domestic Violence. I assisted in the development standards for Treatment Providers of Domestic Violence as well as curriculum standards statewide. I served on the board of Safe City, Anchorage School District, and Alcohol and Safety Programs (ASAP). I have appeared on several television programs and news segments and was a designated resource for issues of male violence.
I moved to Denver, Colorado in August of 1996. I have been with Arvada Counseling Center since June 1998 to present and I am currently the owner/director of Arvada Counseling Center, Inc.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OFFERED: I work with a variety of clients’ age 18 years and older, with mental health, anger, and substance abuse or dual diagnosis issues. I offer comprehensive assessment and evaluations for Anger, Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse disorders, including court testimony. I am available by appointment for individual sessions and provide DUI Group Education and Therapy as well.
